A few images from my trip to the Washington National Zoo yesterday

A FEW IMAGES FROM MY TRIP TO THE ZOO TODAY

It was soooooooo cold outside today, but I was so anxious to play with my new toy that threw on a hoodie,with a long sleeve fleece and long sleeve tee underneath, hopped on the metro and headed for the zoo.  Once I started walking it was not as cold.  I was a little disappointed at first, because many of the animals were inside.  When they are inside they are behind bars or glass, which does not make for good images.    With all the obstacles of the fencing, ugly walls, etc. I was happy overall with the imges I captured today.

Oh . . . forgot to mention that the colors that my new toy captures are simply AMAZING!!!

I cannot wait for my next outing.  It is supposed to rain tomorrow, but I might find some place to shoot indoors.  Cross your fingers and wish me luck.
